The small lead out was just too tempting to not raise when I pick up added equity though :px_ROSH125_xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18119519971073092497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-8790305927618311032013-04-15T15:02:33.805+01:002013-04-15T15:02:33.805+01:00I think preflop is bad and your turn play is bad.

While this line is fine when having the set (and underrep it), it isn't that great when having a drawing hand.
I would either cbet and give up the turn or c flop and f turn. chocobo2008https://www.blogger.com/profile/13895521900310224989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-61636429915812548452013-04-13T10:42:46.321+01:002013-04-13T10:42:46.321+01:00Hey Filo, ya, I missed the bet on the river :(Hey Filo, ya, I missed the bet on the river :(x_ROSH125_xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18119519971073092497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-11722285792244310262013-04-13T10:24:54.303+01:002013-04-13T10:24:54.303+01:00hmmm. i guess i just limp along, but raising is fi...hmmm. i guess i just limp along, but raising is fine too. personal preverance imo. chk flop cause they just fold if they both missed completly wich is 90%+ not the case. i just fold the turn cause u rep thin and if the fish has tp or fd (wich has more sd then ur 8-high) he is not folding. if u raise the turn i would bet the rest on the end. would hate to loose against a fd^^ greets filojoesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-56243008112789117392013-04-13T09:12:37.903+01:002013-04-13T09:12:37.903+01:00Against 1 villain I continue almost 100%. I just feel with 2 limpers they so often have Ax and so often refuse to let go even to 3 barrels that I'd be burning cash.

I am exactly repping the slowplayed big pair/set and I will actually slowplay this sometimes so its a pretty balanced move but I think ur right and I should have bet the riverx_ROSH125_xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18119519971073092497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-56523763656702316342013-04-13T09:07:22.720+01:002013-04-13T09:07:22.720+01:00Good answer, I agree with the flop check. I raised the turn due to his small sizing and to get him off a Qx/6x type handx_ROSH125_xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18119519971073092497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-26601018311686302822013-04-13T03:18:42.072+01:002013-04-13T03:18:42.072+01:00I think it depends a little bit on whether villain...I think it depends a little bit on whether villain is perceptive enough to recognize the squeeze and how loose you can be squeezing. I think that even though V could have hit part of this flop, this flop also hits a big part of your perceived range, so you need to continue. If you get called the 4 is a brick and is a good barrel card. If he calls the turn then I think you have to give it up on the river.

As played I think having raised the turn you need to bet the river. What are you trying to rep when you raise the turn? A slowplayed TP or set?madman1701https://www.blogger.com/profile/18431545750434108896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9028836487770302079.post-80579753004797566932013-04-13T02:05:09.610+01:002013-04-13T02:05:09.610+01:00I'm a 25NL 6max grinder so take what I say wit...I'm a 25NL 6max grinder so take what I say with a pinch of salt, but I think the raise pre is fine considering nobody's short-stacked and we're fairly deep with 2 of them.

Wouldn't cbet the flop, if they're fish they continue with a very wide range here (Ax, Qx, many PPs, FDs, any other two broadways for a straight draw) so we have little fold equity 3-way. Further, vs fish we obviously don't need to worry about having an obviously weak checking range.

I probably float the turn in case he's taking a random stab and when he checks the river he basically has no value hands in his range (even a fish would prob bet Ax/Qx here) so I think we can bet very small to fold out missed draws. Like 1/4 pot.

Of course, the result's nice too.Persona 101https://www.blogger.com/profile/00796238405316311282noreply@blogger.com
