Don't Cash Out This Time For F*** Sake

Around 6 months ago my roll hit $10k and I was excited about spinning it up at higher levels, sadly real life issues kicked in and various bills, the most annoying being a $1k dental bill came in and had to be dealt with. I used my funds and my roll went down to around $2.6k.

This time I am more determined to build from here. I have a trip to Italy coming soon so may need a grand from here max but after that I will try to build big.

High Stakes - The Sam Trickett Story

Sam Trickett is the biggest UK poker tournament winner of all time. He is also in the top 3 in the world all time winners according to the hendonmob website.

He was working his way to becoming a professional footballer when an injury put paid to that. After that he found poker.

His most notable career highlight was taking second place at the WSOP Big One for One Drop scooping a whopping $10.1m.

I just watched an interesting documentary about his life story.

Here is the 4-part film:

Roman Baths (In Bath)

Location In The UK
The Roman Baths are historical site in the English city of Bath. The location is visible in the map here:

The baths are below street level and the buildings are above. The main parts of the site are: the Sacred Spring, Roman Temple, Bath House and Museum.

More than 1 million people visit the attraction each year and I was there recently for a day out.

Rain water falls on the nearby Mendip Hills, it percolates down through limestone aquifers to a depth between 2,700 metres and 4,300 metres where geothermal energy raises the water temperature to between 64°C and 96°C. With pressure the heated water rises back to the surface along faults in the limestone.

I drank some of this warm water. It tasted pretty normal. It is completely safe to drink at the spa water bore-hole which was sunk in 1983 in the Pump Room. Mrs Rosh refused to drink the water.

Here are some pics from the day:

From the site you can also see Bath Abbey:

In The Museum:

On route to the site I briefly stopped off to see Stonehenge:

Sick River

The money did go in on the river though, would have been worse (or better :) ) if it was AI on the turn:
