The Tour began in 1903 and since then it has been dominated by French and Belgian winners.
Team Sky was put together with the aim of getting a British winner and they have done so sooner than expected. Chris Froome also finished 2nd for the British 1-2.
Wiggins is also a 3-time Olympic track champion and will be getting ready to compete in London 2012 next week so no time to party.
