Should I Be Checking Back The Turn?

This is vs an unknown player. People do all kinds of crazy sh*t in 6max and when he calls the 4b oop it is hard to put him on that hand.

  1. i feel like its ether a shove or a check fold. verse an unknown its hard to do but i guess a check fold is a better option until you find there playing habits.

  2. after seeing his hand all in is even more the only choice.

  3. Yeah I don't mind either play. In FR I would rather shove here as a called 4b oop is usually a lot stronger holing but in 6m I am seeing so many suited connectors doing this kind of stuff so I may have to adjust a little.

  4. Are you kidding? He's committed 20% effectives PF & another 30% on the flop... If he sucks out on you, he's clearly overpaid for it but I'd 100% get it in... Sucks if he has an 88 on the turn, but he's paid dearly to "get there" on you. I'm looking to get it in on a 4 bet all day every day on the flop and/or turn... However, I haven't played 6max and online poker since April 2011... so perhaps things have changed & it's profitable to call 4bets OOP in 6max with 69s?!??!?!

  5. Well said PM. Its difficult to see this playout any other way than as played. Also it would b tough to get away on the river, not sure I could.

  6. check Turn and fold river is too weak. Shove Turn, he can call with worst pairs and with draws. Pot is just too big on turn to give up.

  7. Yup, If you're gonna call his river shove you might as well shove the turn and take the initiative and apply some fold equity

  8. To be honest, shoving the turn is not for fold equity but a value shove. There are very very few hands that he can have that beat you and so many more that he can't fold given his passive line. I think you got cooleree by a terrible player who would be all in with kk on down. Perhaps even ak.

  9. I agree, he could easily have TT-KK, AJ+ here + lots of suited connectors like he did. I have him tagged and noted now for next time :) This level/ format is proving very interesting and I am currently beating it for 14bb/100. hope it continues....

  10. No, never cib the turn, by shoving your going to get more of their OOP range to call in 4b pots!

  11. The villain flats big 3bets in/out of position and I just stacked him and tore him up in another pot :). I'm gonna like this guy going forward. Building good notes on him
