New HeadHunterPoker Tour Heads to Aspers London (Stratford City) in January 2014

I have been planning to go to Aspers for a while now so I will try to satellite into this big event.

Article from http://uk.pokernews.com/ :

Poker players are going to be spoiled for choice in the opening months of 2014 thanks to a brand new live event taking place at Aspers Stratford City on January 15.
Sandwiched between the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the Aussie Millions is the inaugural HeadHunterPoker Tour, a £5,000 buy-in event held in London. What makes this particular event stand out from the rest on the live poker calendar is that £1,000 from each buy-in goes into a Headhunter Bounty pool and when a player eliminates an opponent they receive a £1,000 bounty.
The first event of the six-stop HeadHunterPoker Tour takes place from January 15-18, 2014 at Aspers Stratford. For their £5,000 buy-in, players receive a stack of 30,000 tournament chips and play to hour-long blinds that start at 50/100. The final table is to be recorded for television and British legend Dave "Devilfish" Ulliot is said to be confirmed to play.
According to the HeadHunterPoker Tour website, satellites to the £5,000 buy-in event are running at William Hill with buy-ins starting as low as £25, meaning the chance to play for a potentially huge prize pool is open and accessible to players of all bankroll levels. Claims are also made that PokerStars is offering satellites, but no such satellites currently exist at PokerStars at time of writing.
The tour’s website gives some indication as to what the payouts could be, although there is nothing to back up their claims. The tour dates section says 35 places paid would result in a first place prize of over £270,000. Again, according to various banners and images on the tour’s site, the organisers are expecting at least 200 players to buy-in for £5,000 and create a prize pool of at least £1 million.
Whether or not 200 players will turn out for a £5,000 event during a busy time on the live poker calendar remains to be seen, but we do not have long to find out as the first event is only a month away. Stay tuned to UK & Ireland PokerNews as we bring you more information about this new poker tour.
