Was there any chance of getting away from this? What were player 8's stats? Given his stats, you can deduce his hands down from overpairs on the flop to quads, an unlikely 44 or 88. Then again, if he's uberagro and donkish, you're going to get stacked every time...
I actually think I could have. He is a losing reg, bad but not a horrendous player. It was close, I obv beat 44 + all overs but unlikely he has overs as with all the players in b4 him he should sqz with TT+ so he can have 99 which I beat too but would he jam that on the River?? So he has 22, 44 or 88 and I only beat 44 so should fold
At least you're thinking about it... It's a near impossible fold, but given stats, its doable. It's very likely he folds the flop cbet with 44 - in other words, it's unlikely he holds precisely 44 by the turn. It's more likely he has 88, but he likely folds 88 by the river anyway... does this play spaz with JJ+ or slowplay AA?
The more I look at it the more it looks like 22 is the only possible hand. He could have had 76s or Axs but he never bluff jams River 3way with Axs. I think he could jam 76s though.
Also he doesn't slowplay AA or JJ+ with that many players b4 him
Upon seeing the hand play out, that was my immediate thought. This is 100% absolutely stats dependent. It's a huge hole to start folding third nut boats in this spot to any other player...
It's also one of the pitfalls of playing 8 ZOOM tables vs say 2 or 3, you have to be very quick and sometimes miss spots like this to really analyse the stats and think a bit deeper
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK. MONSTERS R REAL
