I got 85% on my first attempt. See if you can identify the nations:

In poker news I have caught a small upswing and have almost salvaged the month:

Ouch - Just Call

No need to raise AI here. Probably a fold but a call should suffice from villain's POV.

I'm Back And Ready To Fight

I've been away for a few days on some family business and now I'm back.

My VPPs are therefore the same as in my last post when I talked about chasing down 400k VPPs.

While I chase these annual targets I am also looking to change up my bankroll management, something I touched on briefly before

I intend to use a shorter 30 BI move up strategy as opposed to strategies which I have used in the past which have ranged from 50-100 BIs variable. Also in the past I have coasted at comfortable levels and just cashed out when ever I have had excess without trying to move up. I am now aiming to hardly ever cash out and keep building and moving up.

I have been on a slight downer this month so am still at NL25/NL50. I can move up to NL100 when I hit $3k. My level/bankroll chart looks like this:

My Roll is:

VPP Pace Challenge

I Started the year with the plan of bagging 400k Vpps.

At the moment I am close to 100k with almost 5 months gone. This is way behind pace.

The Pace thread on 2+2 shows me at:

---400K Pace--- 149,270

---300K Pace--- 111,952

95,722 x_ROSH125_x

---200K Pace--- 74,635

So I got to chase down 300k + 400k. The average at the start of the year for 300k is 822 VPPs per day and for 400k it's 1096 Vpps per day.

To catch both of these I need around 1,350 VPPs a day from now on till the end of the year.

Got Some work to do..!!

Queens Vs Unkown

An interesting hand here vs an unknown. I didn't notice his stack size pre and if I had I would have more likely 3bet for value. Flatting is fine too. On the flop 3-way I think flatting is fine with the 3rd player left to act on a bad flop. The turn is interesting as I was torn between betting or checking. I decided to pot control as this guy was an unknown. When he checks the river it is a pretty easy value bet. I didn't expect the crai jam.

Full Ring Rush Poker Is Dead On Full Tilt (FTP)

It is like 1am here and a few hours past peak time but with 15k players logged you would thought that there would be a few people playing full ring:

How Many Calories Do You Burn Idling or Doing Nothing In 24hrs?

So the missus and I have challenged ourselves to losing some weight. I want to lose 10-14lbs and tone up a bit. I'm currently 192lbs and 5'10".

We started discussing how many calories you burn while just idling throughout the day. Interestingly I found out that I would burn 1913 calories a day if I just stayed in bed. These basically go on temperature regulation, body functions like heart beats and brain activity etc.

This is the formula to calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate):

For Women: BMR = 655 + (4.35 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)
For Men: BMR = 66 + (6.23 x weight in pounds) + (12.7 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)

Another lazier way to get a (very rough) estimate is to multiply your body weight in lbs by 11:
Here is the source

If you want a online calculator try this one.

I will try and update in a few weeks as to my weight loss progress.

Welcome to 6-Max, Where Dreams Go To Die

It wasn't long ago that I was talking about switching to a more aggressive bankroll management. Since then I have been playing more 6 Max but am getting destroyed and my shot taking aspirations will have to wait. My roll is down to $3k now and not really good enough to be playing 100/200/higher. I will continue until I get to $4.5k before adding back NL100 games.

And probably the biggest pot in the last 2 days

There are a quite a few more where I should have found a fold along with a few coolers. Looks like its going to be a bumpy ride.
