I tanked hard on the river. I think I fold vs any straight forward reg.

Villain is a 34/5 over 500 hands. He snap jammed river which kinda means not nuts if he is not a reg in my experience. That along with his aggro factor stats made my mind up: F=1, T=1, R=6.2

[x] Biggest pot in like 3 years

Would you fold here, bearing in mind I play 25 n 50 normally?

  1. I would fold river.... The river agression number is irellevant in my exprience over a 500hand sample... Also u cant really be sure the snap jam is weak..... When I am masstabling, I snapjam often with the nuts and sometimes I use my entire time bank also with the nuts maybe because I forget about that table or its covered by another table(u cant really tell)...

    1. The snap jam tell is only relevant to inexperienced or weak players and not to regs. I often insta jam with monsters and slow bluff to create opposite 'reverse tells'. An inexperienced player will never do that and simply thinks jam fast = scary. You see it a lot in 'live poker' too.

I think there is some merit in the aggro factor jump otr. I forgot to say his WTSD was 26 which does not indicate a his is that weak at sd but his not a 17/18 type.

      Still not sure :)

  2. not folding, does a 32/5 even isolates with j10? Ace not being a club also matters so he can have Axcc. A fish is a fish so even if his line does not make a lot of sense post with some holdings you do beat it makes it a call.

    1. Kinda my thought process. Would you raise flop or turn though??

  3. think I like calling flop more so he doesnt fold strong Aces no clubs, but now will check call those on turn river and you still can get it in. When he leads this turn himself im confused but call for same reasons why I call flop and pray for a riverblank. I dont really dislike turn because he can have j10 (not likely but could be possible) but more because it sets up so many ugly turn+river runouts that either might kill your action or makes him some bs straight on river (guess offsuit 10 only). Less deep I like shoving turn more. Think there are arguments for both raising flop/turn or calling, ip I like calling down a bit more this deep.

    1. The depth of stacks does pose a problem. I felt the same. While I've played a fair bit of deep poker I am no expert in 720bb pots. I would definitely be more aggro with a 100bb stack. Good experience I guess

  4. Nice hand! I am never folding on the river here. Too many hands in a bad player's range that he is going nuts with like this one. Versus a reg it is a lot closer and probably a fold unless there is some crazy dynamic going on.

    1. Yeah, that sounds bang on. I saw the guy limping some random hands in the hj yesterday too so he seems pretty bad
