WBCOOP 2013 - World Blogger Chamionship Of Poker

There have been numerous up and downs over my time playing poker. I first learnt sit and goes then moved on to MTTs and then went on to playing cash games. Later I played omaha and also 8-game. I played both live and online.

The best part of it all was moving up through the ranks from the bottom at NL2 to playing over 20k hands at NL400.

I am now looking forward to playing this years WBCOOP series..!!

Last year's entry was a lot more interesting..!!

A Month Full of Comebacks

This month has had far too many comeback days in it. For some reason I seem to lose the first session of the day and then spend the rest of the day getting back to even. Weird month.

I have used it on quite a few occasions to kill a bit of time.

They also have a forum and affiliate site deals.

I Added NL200 6max To My Mix

I decided to try a new mix of ZOOM tables in one session: (1x NL200 6-max, 2x NL100 6-max, 4x NL50 FR)

It is annoying that when you first try a new game/ level you can over adjust and play badly. I also didn't get much help running into quads with and over-paired full house. I will build up again and take another shot although I think I will be better moving out of ZOOM for the shot.

With a gap of 12 points now over Manchester City it looks like Manchester United will go on to win another league title. The only other contenders are Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal. My team Liverpool are sadly only shooting for 4th place.

Not A Live Poker Pro

While I do enjoy some aspects of live poker: the banter, a few drinks and a change of scenery there are other parts that I don't fancy too, like the travelling and the pace of the game.

In December I stated that one of my 2013 goals was to play more live, like once a week as opposed to once a month like I normally do. However having gone to the VIC a few days ago for a nights action I am going to scrap that goal and stick to playing once a month.

I found the action pretty slow and uninteresting at times. Plus I didn't get any VPPs :). One of the problems I think is that I have always played the 2 lowest levels which is probably just too low. I play the £1/£1 and £1/£2 (BI for $300/$600 respectively) games and some of the pots are just too small to excite. I will try out a higher game next time and see how I like it.

I find its often good to let the shorties hang themselves as they will be pot committed on the flop.
